In this ‘Brief Encounter’, Ken Deeks of The Amber Group interviews Nick Hayward, Head of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes at GTA.
Ken: “What does Celaton mean to you?”
Nick: “Firstly, we now have far greater visibility of the numbers. Given that we outsource most of our back-end processes, we need to have an accurate independent view on their performance. Because inSTREAM’s monitoring and reporting functions are web-based, it gives global users real-time access to current performance from any location.
inSTREAM™ has enabled us to automate the processes and make them more portable, transferring many of the AP processes away from manual handling in Delhi and into the cloud. This in itself has two clear benefits: firstly, it has significantly reduced the number of errors we were experiencing – and that could amount to up to 20% of the processing – and secondly it’s given visibility and control back to our regional offices around the world.
The learning capability of inSTREAM™ has dramatically improved the level of automation and accuracy of the data; this in turn enables us to ensure that all invoices are handled far more promptly and professionally, with far fewer mistakes. The service we receive from Celaton is outstanding. If we have any issues then I can just pick up a phone and it’s dealt with. It’s a very personal relationship we have with Celaton, and as a result of that we get some very personal care.”
